Baking Traditional Bread

Year 4 finished their Anglo-Saxon topic this week by baking traditional royal bread. The children enjoyed tasting their creations while learning more about what life was like in Anglo-Saxon times. This “taste of life” experience helped bring their history learning to life and was a wonderful way to end the topic. Although, we all agreed it would have been much tastier with a bit of jam or chocolate spread!
