Birthdays - Reception

This week, we have started our exciting new Religious Education topic: Birthdays. To celebrate, we’ve been preparing the classroom for our puppet, Ellie’s birthday! The children have been busy decorating the home corner, creating beautiful birthday cards, and even making birthday cakes with playdough.

Through these activities, we are learning about the importance of preparation and celebration. This theme will lead us into Advent, a special time when Christians prepare for Christmas and the coming of Jesus. Just as we get ready for Ellie’s birthday, we will explore how people prepare their hearts and homes for this joyful season.
