Drama Club Perform The Tempest

Last week, our Drama Club took to The Northern Stage for both our dress rehearsal and the full performance of Shakespeare’s The Tempest — and what a week it was!

From the very first cue, students brought the story to life with energy, confidence, and real ensemble spirit. Working closely with our brilliant directors, the technical team, and students from partner schools, we learned so much about professional theatre-making — from blocking and character work to lighting, sound, and stagecraft. The dress rehearsal sharpened our timing and teamwork and by the time the curtain went up, everyone was ready to give their best.

The performance itself was fantastic. The cast delivered powerful scenes, the crew handled every transition smoothly and the atmosphere on stage was electric. We were all so proud of what we achieved together — weeks of dedication truly paid off.

A huge thank you to the staff who guided and supported us throughout, to the parents and carers for their encouragement and to the children and families who filled the audience and cheered us on. Your support made the experience unforgettable.
