National Poetry Day in Year 3

Today we celebrated National Poetry Day with a day full of words, rhythm, and imagination.

Our day began with sharing poems that we carefully selected during our reading sessions. Each poem brought something new, some were lyrical and gentle, others sharp and playful, but all of them gave us the joy of hearing poetry read aloud by the class.

After listening, we explored the different types of poems we had read. From rhyming couplets to free verse, riddles to narrative poems, we discovered that poetry comes in many forms and styles. This sparked some wonderful conversations about how poets use words to capture emotions, ideas, and even puzzles.

To end the day, we shared a riddle poem, leaving everyone with something to think about:

The beginning of eternity,

The end of time and space,

The beginning of every end,

And the end of every place.

Do you know the answer?
