Purple Treat – A Creative and Tasty Afternoon in Year 2
This afternoon in Year 2 we enjoyed a wonderful Purple Treat filled with creativity, teamwork and a little bit of chocolate magic.
We began with an arts and crafts session where the children were free to let their imaginations run wild. They experimented with colour mixing and explored a range of materials including ribbons, fabric, paper and pens. It was lovely to see everyone designing and making whatever they liked, each creation completely unique.
After our crafting fun, we followed the instructions we’ve been learning in our English lessons to make chocolate cornflake cakes. The children worked carefully through each step and were very proud of their finished creations. Each child made one small cake, which they took home at the end of the day.
Just before home time, we rounded off the afternoon with a drink and a relaxed chat with our friends. It was a calm, happy end to a busy and creative day. Year 2 had a fantastic time – what a lovely Purple Treat.
