Year 3 Visit the Shipley Art Gallery
On Wednesday, we visited the Shipley Art Gallery for an exciting hands-on workshop all about wet felting. It was a fantastic day filled with creativity, exploration and fun. The children really enjoyed learning this new skill in such an inspiring environment.
Working with the materials was a very different sensory experience, especially feeling the textures as we created the felt. Although it was unusual at first, everyone embraced it and had great fun experimenting and making their own designs.
By the end of the session, everyone felt confident and proud, having created their very own piece of wet felt independently. It was a wonderful opportunity to develop creativity, build confidence and experience learning beyond the classroom.
