Year 4 Science
This week, Year 4 wrapped up our Science topic on sound in a very exciting way! After learning all about how sound travels and how it can be absorbed or muffled, we worked in teams to design and build our own soundproof studios using junk modelling materials. We carefully chose materials like cardboard, fabric and bubble wrap, thinking about which would absorb the most sound. Then we tested our creations to see which group could muffle the sound the best! We discovered that softer, thicker materials worked better at absorbing sound vibrations, and we had lots of fun acting as sound engineers while carrying out our investigations. What a fantastic way to end our topic!
