There’s the ‘very best start’ for young learners at St Alban’s Catholic Primary, after our Early Years provision received a state-of-the-art makeover.
“Our brand-new, modern classroom has been thoughtfully designed with purpose-built areas that support high-quality play, exploration, and early learning,” explained our Headteacher, Mrs Yeoman.
“Every space has been carefully planned to spark curiosity, nurture creativity, and build independence, ensuring that children feel confident, safe, and excited to learn.
“This exciting investment reflects St Alban’s commitment to excellence in early education, and to providing every child with the very best start to their learning journey.”
Thanks to funding from the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust Early Years Fund, the space has been fully updated and redesigned, with the classroom now giving direct access to a bespoke outdoor learning area.
“One of the stand-out features of the development is the seamless access to a large, secure, outdoor learning area directly from the classroom,” continued Mrs Yeoman.
“This allows outdoor learning to be fully embedded into daily practice, giving children regular opportunities to explore nature, develop physical skills, collaborate with their peers, and extend their learning beyond the four walls of the classroom.”
Other improvements include new classroom furniture and learning resources.
“To further enrich the experience, the school has invested in premium furniture and resources from Early Excellence, creating a stimulating and flexible learning environment that meets the diverse needs of every child,” added Mrs Yeoman.
“These high-quality materials support imaginative play, language development, early maths and literacy, and social skills, laying strong foundations for future success.
“Families can be confident that their children are beginning school in an environment that is inspiring, nurturing, and designed to help them flourish.”
Proudly a member of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust.
